2016 Fall Appeal
The 2016 Fall Appeal raised over $18,000! Money raised during the Fall Appeal will continue to support educational programming that will reach every child at GUFS.
Nearly all of our classes passed 50% in participation. Mrs. Earle and Mrs. D’Onofrio’s classes won the pizza contest with outstanding 94% & 77% parent participation rates, respectively. Donations to the Fall Appeal of $25 or greater also qualified students to put their names into the hat for the “Principal for a Day” raffle.
2016 Spring Thaw
Our 17th Annual Spring Thaw at the Highlands Country Club in April raised over $30,000 which exceeded our fundraising targets and will bring many exciting programs to GUFS. Spring Thaw is GCEF’s largest fundraiser of the year and is a great community event that features silent auction items, dinner, dessert and live music.

2016 Winter Garden Ladies' Cocktail Party
The Winter Garden Ladies' Night at Kyoko Gelber's home in February featured delicious hors d’ouvres and garden-herb cocktails at the sold out event. It was a cozy evening with new friends and old, featuring the GCEF-funded Hudson Valley Seed program, which reaches every GUFS elementary student with its educational garden program at the school.
2015 Golf Marathon
Our Golf Marathon Fundraiser at Highlands Country Club in October was a fun week-long event for families. This year, kids and parents raised money by participating in several rounds of golf throughout the week and securing donations from individuals and businesses.
2015 Spring Thaw
Our 16th Annual Spring Thaw at Glynwood in April raised over $27,000 with 100+ auction items at the event. Spring Thaw is GCEF’s largest fundraiser of the year and is a great community event that features silent auction items, dinner, dessert and live music.

2014 Fall Appeal
The Fall Appeal brought in over 100 donors and raised $12,000 with an emphasis this year on GCEF’s commitment to supporting a state-of-the-art library at GUFS.
With a remarkable 86% and 79% respectively, Mrs. D’Onofrio’s First Grade and Mrs. Green’s Kindergarten won the pizza party prize for the two classes with the most participation from families. Donations to the appeal of $25 or greater were also recognized on named bookplates placed on the inside cover of one of the new library books.
Money raised will continue to support educational programming that will reach every child at GUFS.
2014 Golf Marathon
Our Golf Marathon Fundraiser at Highlands Country Club in October was a fun event for kids and adults. Golfers raised $7,500 by participating in several rounds of golf throughout the day and securing donations from individuals and businesses.

Our Movie Night at Hubbard Lodge in January featured a screening of The Graduate. It was a cozy evening with cocktails and food by the fireplace.
