K-2 students are making some incredible art in the Creative Constructions PTA after school program! They just finished up Joseph Cornell-inspired box constructions this Thursday (photo below) and will soon start on a new project.
Students will be talking about the artist Louise Nevelson and how she collected interesting found objects to use in her work. The teacher has asked that each student bring in at least one (relatively small) object of interest to incorporate into the work. For the project, the cork bases will be about 12 X 12 inches, built up with small wooden and other objects. We can't wait to see the results!
GCEF is thrilled to partner with the PTA to bring Kate Daley/Creative Constructions after school at GUFS! Thank you GCEF donors!
