It's time for Spring Thaw!

February 2, 2016

Tired of the cold and snow? Good news, it is almost time for GCEF’s 17th Annual Spring Thaw. Money raised at this event supports educational, artistic and athletic programming at GUFS. This year's Thaw will take place at Highlands Country Club on Saturday, April 2 from 7 p.m. – 10 p.m., and will feature an incredible auction, food and drinks, and live music.

We need your help! Do you have something to donate? Past items have included everything from original art and theatre tickets to catered dinner parties and vacation homes. In addition to these popular items, our auction will focus on enrichment experiences for kids and adults. Please email us if you’d like to help at

Please buy your Thaw tickets today. You can purchase tickets HERE, mail a check to P.O. Box 262, Garrison, NY 10524 or send in via backpack mail. Tickets are $75 through Friday, March 18 and $90 if you purchase after this date or at the door.

This school year alone, GCEF has committed over $32,000 to support 16 programs such as Hudson Valley Seed, Imagination Playground, Garrison Art Center and Constitution Marsh. Since it was established in 1998, GCEF has distributed $650,000 to enrich the education of children in the Garrison Union Free School district. Together, we work to make GUFS a place that will stand out in the memories of our kids and help them succeed in the future. We hope to see you at this year’s Thaw and look forward to dining and bidding with our extended community this spring!
